Therefore, he is named "Lapis Lazuli Light"; the Pure Lapis Lazuli World that he has achieved and is in charge of is also filled with lapis lazuli pure light. One of the meanings of "medicine" in Medicine Buddha is to heal people's hearts and escape from the cycle of reincarnation. Medicine Buddha made twelve great vows, vowing to relieve all sentient beings from the physical and mental suffering caused by inner ignorance.
